Our Story
Hi! My name is Mark Backus… I’m a retired/disabled veteran, husband, and father. After the military, My wife casey and i decided to settle here and raise a family. having lived the military life we both have seen firsthand the burden military families carry behind the scenes—and how quickly everyday responsibilities can pile up during deployments, injury, or loss. United Homefront started as a simple idea: step in, help out, and make life a little easier when it matters most.
This is real. This is local. And this is personal. WE’RE not a large organization—WE’RE your neighbors, showing up with time, tools, and a willingness to help.

Why I started United Homefront
Military Families operate under sustained operational stress, much more than our civilian counterparts.
During deployments spouses, and let’s not kid ourselves, Moms, are expected to be all the things: Handyman, landscaper, mechanic, planner, nurse, etc. and they’re expected to do this alone! The burden is beyond heavy and usually met with expectation, not sympathy. We started United Homefront to not only recognize the struggle but to help relieve the burden.
Disabled Veterans/Caregivers and Gold Star Families are handed a permanent loss no one should be expected to carry. We recognize this and offer our services to help preserve the kind of day-to-day stability and independence every family deserves—so life can feel manageable, familiar, and grounded.
We focus on the actual tasks that steal away precious time by providing direct, responsive services that weigh down a family’s daily routine.
• Home maintenance
• Tech Support
• Lawn maintenance
• Emergency Auto assistance
• Daily task overload
When Burdens Ease

When practical pressures are lifted, the home begins to breathe again.
- Stress softens
- Tension decreases
- Daily life becomes more steady and manageable
- Children experience greater routine and stability
- Families regain space to reconnect
By reducing environmental stress, resilience grows—and so does the sense of peace and joy at home.
